BEN HEASON - ROCK CLIMBER AND MOTIVATIONAL SPEEKER
Ben Heason – One of the UK’s most experienced rock climbers.
Years 4, 5 and 6 were treated to an inspirational and motivational speech by Ben Heason.
Ben talked about his ground-breaking expedition to Venezuela, where he made the first free-climb ascent of the world’s highest waterfall - Angel Falls. His ascent had a remarkable impact on the world’s climbing community, and is regarded as one of the most impressive achievements in decades.
The pupils were amazed and fascinated and listened intently to Ben, there were lots of intakes of breath and ‘oohs’ from the pupils. His talk fitted perfectly with the schools 7 R’s and showed the pupils that if they work very hard, plan, work as a team, think positively and are determined to succeed, just about any goal is attainable.
He was kind enough to sign autographs for some of the pupils and staff after the talk.
