The government has ring fenced monies to support the learning needs of pupils who are entitled to Free School Meals, Looked After and Forces Children. This funding is referred to as Pupil Premium funding. We have a responsibility within school to allocate this funding to each child who falls into these categories in order to ensure that they make at least expected if not better progress and reach age related attainment levels.
At Northwick Manor Primary school, pupils who are entitled Pupil Premium funding receive additional learning support in the following ways:
· Additional intervention programmes e.g. Better Reading; Springboard mathematics; SALT; Social skills development groups etc.
· Support with funding re. curriculum enrichment activities e.g. educational visits
· Learning resources.

Academy Vision for the Pupil Premium Grant
As with every child in our care, a child who is eligible for the Pupil Premium Grant is valued, respected and entitled to develop to his or her full potential, irrespective of need. The PP grant is used on approaches shown to be effective in improving the achievement and opportunities for disadvantaged pupils.
This echoes our mission statement, ‘Love – Learn - Live’.
