At Northwick Manor Primary School Religious Education provokes challenging questions about meaning and purpose in life, beliefs about God, issues of right and wrong and what it means to be human.
The aim of R.E. is to explore big questions about life, to find out what people believe and what difference this makes to how they live, so that pupils can make sense of religion and be able to reflect on their own ideas and ways of living.
R.E. at Northwick follows the agreed syllabus adopted by Worcestershire County Council. All pupils learn from Christianity in each key stage. In addition, pupils will learn from other principal religions represented in the UK - Islam, Hinduism and Judaism. Non-religious worldviews, including for example Humanism, will also be the focus for some study.
