Sporting Activities 2014 - 2015

We were so lucky with the weather as all the children competed for their

house in our School Sports Day.

Thank you Mrs Webber and Mrs Davies for organising two

brilliant fun filled Sports Days

Wyre Forest Cross Country

Three Northwick Manor Primary pupils who had excelled in the Worcester City competition, held at RGS Grange, went forward to represent the city in the Wyre Forest Cross Country event.  Competition was stiff but all three finished well up the pecking order.

Worcester Schools Swimming Gala

A team of Year 4 children competed in the Gala.  They finished in joint first place, retaining the trophy for a second year.

A team of Years 5 & 6 competed in the Sainsbury’s 2015 School Games swimming competition and won convincingly to move onto the regional finals in Bromsgrove.  Northwick Manor Primary  presently hold the trophy for this competition.  Congratulations to the team on winning the Games Bronze Medal against very stiff completion.

A group of children thoroughly enjoyed a day at University of Worcester where they had an opportunity to try out ten different sport disciplines.

Our school team are presently unbeaten in inter primary school matches.  Well done everyone. 3/6/2015

Our football team has competed in a number of closely fought fixtures against local primary schools and tournaments.

Pupils have enjoyed many dance workshops delivered by Dancefest during this academic year.  A group of children have been chosen to present their piece, The Flood, at the Atrix Theatre Bromsgrove, after performing alongside other schools at Bishop Perowne High School.

Children enjoy coaching sessions during their PE lessons.  A group of eight children were selected and competed in the Mini Tennis Tournament at Boughton Park.

An excellent assembly and Qwik Cricket coaching sessions were delivered by Jenny Gunn a member of the current women’s England Team.

A year 5 team competed successfully in the Worcester City Schools competition losing in the semi-finals.

A team of eight children from years 5 and 6 enjoyed an orienteering event at Top Barn.

Sports Day

Our KS1 and KS2 children will be involved in a variety of competitive activities on the sports field hoping to earn as many house points as possible for their given house.
